Hello, I’m Annie, a mama, wife, writer, yogi, dreamer & procaffinater.

I live with my husband Mark, our miracle baby boy Bodhi River (17 mths) & cat Lizzie within the beautiful Shropshire countryside.

This Boho Life is my blog with a focus on real motherhood and parenting, simple and seasonal living and all the lovely little things in life.

It is also a community where you can connect with amazing, inspiring, creative and supportive women through “This Mama Life” and “Wild Woman” events, workshops, groups and retreats.

“Within every woman there lives a powerful force, filled with good instincts, passionate creativity, & ageless knowing. She is the Wild Woman, who represents the instinctual nature of women. But she is an endangered species.”— Clarissa Pinkola Estés

I’ve always loved writing and with the support and encouragement of Mark I decided a few years ago to stop trying to fit into a conventional career and finally decided to do what I love and so in 2014 I started this blog and freelance writing and this year have gone back to university to do a BSC in English and writing.

I spend most of my days daydreaming, sleep deprived drinking a lot of coffee and navigating the crazy, messy and beautiful journey of motherhood.

There are good days, bad days … and dam right really ugly (losing my shit) days, but I always try to get through them with good vibes, good friends … and maybe occasionally gin!

This blog is where I share everything, my infertility & IVF, motherhood, travel, nature, food, yoga and generally just my boho life.

I am a freelance writer & events co-ordinator  if you would like to drop me an e-mail to the above address, I shall get back to you as soon as I can.

In 2013 I met my soul mate, we moved in together and got married within a year and I have smiled and adored him every day since. You can see the video of our wedding that our lovely & talented friend made here. (Painted Life Productions)

After many many unsuccessful months of trying “the old fashioned way” I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility. We have been through 5 rounds of Clomid and 2 rounds of IVF and every single injection, tear shed and tough day was worth it, on Friday the 24th of February, 2017 at 8 minutes past midnight our beautiful soul Bodhi River came earth side. You can read his birth story here.

In 2012 my brother; a poet, musician, eternal wanderer and free spirit was killed. With the support and kindness of a community a beautiful event was created in his memory. The Big Busk is a charity music festival that is held every year on his birthday. You can see the 2013 video here.

I LOVE our home we have made together, escapes to my spiritual home of St Ives, holding hands, being in my pjs by 7pm, cocktails, lazy breakfasts reading and the simple life … and these days more than 2 hours sleep!!!
